Exclusive Wisconsin State Park Passes have been available since Nov. 1. Library cardholders can check out a pass from participating libraries, including the Weiss Community Library. The passes are valid for free admission for one vehicle at any state park, forest, or recreation area where admission is required. The pass is good for one day. At the time of pickup, you must let us know that date or at least a 3-day window that you will be using the pass. Check Out Wisconsin State Parks at Your Library is a collaborative effort between the DNR, the Wisconsin Library Association’s Wisconsin Association of Public Libraries, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Nicolet Federated Library System and Southwest Wisconsin Library System underwrote the cost of the day passes. Along with each day pass, the cardholder will receive an informational kit of state park system materials and maps, a Wisconsin Explorer Program book, stickers, accessibility information and more.
