Are you a tech-savvy dynamo with a sunny attitude? The Sherman & Ruth Weiss Community Library is looking for a part-time Library Clerk to join our vibrant, friendly team! If you’re a problem-solver with excellent organizational skills and a passion for customer service, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Position: Part-Time Library Clerk
Compensation: $15 per hour
Application Deadline: February 14, 2025

What We’re Looking For:
A self-starter with a high school diploma or equivalent experience in libraries, office work, computers, graphic design, customer service, or social services.
A knack for multitasking and delivering top-notch customer service to patrons of all ages.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and familiarity with Canva is a plus.
A positive, can-do attitude that fits well in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:
Assist patrons at the checkout desk and answer general questions.
Help with technology support, including e-books, audiobooks, printing, and more.
Offer friendly customer service to patrons of all ages, with a smile!

Schedule & Compensation:
Typical weekly schedule: 10 hours, including shifts from 9am-4pm, 10am-5pm, 12pm-7pm, and 10am-1pm. Potential for additional hours.
One to two Saturdays per month.
Possibility of weekly hours increasing above 10 hours per week in the future.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Close vision required for reading and working with detailed materials.
